The email defense server is currently not working fine which is currently under maintenance. The engineer is currently working on this issue.

There is no ETA on it yet from the email defense engineer.


Effect:

Email Defense subscribers might have difficulties on receiving emails.

Further from this, below is the latest updates on the Email defense services:
1. Link problems in the Spam Quarantine Report. Users may be logged out. Weâ¬"re in the process of fixing this problem.
2. The issue of email being filtered from non Email Defense users has been resolved.
3. Connection to non-standard ports. Our fix is currently in QA.
4. Unable to add new users to Email Defense service via API. We have resolved this issue. We are still monitoring.
5. Customers are seeing less spam in Quarantine than before the migration. We are working to repair the issue that is causing the data not to show up.

Known Issues:

1- D.O.S Attack- Our servers are still under attack, and our operations team continues to work on this issue. Email delivery is
being delayed.

2- Quarantine Accuracy- Meanwhile, we are testing the changes to the inserts we outlined last night (http://tinyurl.com/2hayfb) and will finish the QA testing once the DOS attack has subsided. We hope to promote the changes tomorrow. In order to fix the quarantine quickly we have had to remove the triggers that update the statistics tables.

**Please note**, this fix will impact portal statistics, they will not be available for a few days. Users will instead see a message that says "Quarantine statistics are currently unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience." Once the Portal and SQRs are up and running we will tackle the statistics.


3- Spam Quarantine Reports- From the feedback I have received today on and offlist- the approach we are going to take is to leave the reports as they are. While some people were concerned about overwhelming their customers with large SQR's, we feel the best approach would be to respect the original settings of the end customer. We understand that the volume of messages inside the SQRs may cause you support calls, but other options may cause more.

Please note that these SQR's will only include the past 7 days of data, while the portal will be extended to include all unreviewed messages.

Once we confirm that item #2 in our list is functioning as expected,we will send out the SQR's.
