Exabytes - Virgo ( 202.75.42.66 ) Mailenable Service Interruption

Upgrade date : 13 October 2006 (Friday)
Time of Maintenance : 10.00PM GMT+8

The service interruption of the Mailenable server on 202.75.42.66 ( Virgo ) for the past days is still undergoing investigation. Among the troubleshooting that we have completed are :

1. Replacing the hard drive of the mail server Logging / Queue and Postoffice drive.

2. Having the Mailenable support login to the mail server to check on the server condition to help diagnose the cause of problems.

3. Upgrade all the neccessary packages and software on the server including MySQL , ODBC and replacing Mailenable services components by the Mailenable support.

After the above troubleshooting and diagnostic actions has been taken, the mail services on the mail server is still having intermittent interruption. Thus, we will be performing a force upgrade of the mail server software on the mail server to v2 at the above schedule time to further diagnose the mail server condition. The upgrade will be perform in advance 1 week for Virgo 202.75.42.66 which we have initially scheduled on 21 Oct 2006 as follow:

The upgrades on both Virgo ( 202.75.42.66 ) and Virgo2 ( 202.75.42.26 ) has been successfully completed. We are still in monitoring on Virgo ( 202.75.42.66 ) for further confirmation if the upgrade resolve the service interruption on the mail services.
