HDD replacement date : 12 October 2006 (Thursday)
Time of Maintenance : 12.30 AMGMT+8

We shall be replacing the current HDDs which accomodate the mail server log files and email queue with new HDDs.

During the HDD replacement, we will shut down the server.

We expect the whole replacement process to be completed within half an hour. Mail services will be unavailable during the upgrade is running.

ETA of service interruption : 3 hours

Following with the mail server drive and queue drive replacement last night, we shall be replacing the current HDDs which accomodate the mail server postoffice disk at the above mentioned time.

During the HDD replacement, all the services will be stop as to ensure all the mails for the users are correctly image over to the new hard drive.

We expect the whole replacement process to be completed in 3 hours time due to the disk drive space is over 300GB.. Mail services will be unavailable during the upgrade is running.

Updates:

The hard disk has been successfully been replaced and services has been restored at 3.30AM. The delay of the services restoration is due to the server went into a check disk for the postoffice drive after the disk imaging completed.
