Customer in Malaysia who have sign up for their hosting account on our US servers may intermittently experience connection problems connecting to our servers in US due to connectivity problems resolved from TmNet connection. Please kindly be reminded that all our servers and network in US data center is currently not undergoing any issues.

Upon checking on TmNet website, the following is found posted on TmNet announcement page :

We regret to inform the customers that the international link outage to Europe is still ongoing due to unforeseen circumstances. This is due to a submarine cable failure at the SMW3 Segment 9 at Sesimbra, Portugal. The international providers are carrying out rectification works in stages and we expect that the restoration exercise will complete by Sunday, 21st May 2006.

The outages also occurred at the international link to Hong Kong, which is due to submarine cable failure at the SMW3 Segment 2.14 at Deep Water Bay, Hong Kong. As a result, customers may experience some delay when assessing websites hosted in the Asia Pacific region. TM Net has taken immediate action to divert some traffic through other back-up links to reduce the traffic congestion. The restoration exercise is expected to be completed by 25th May 2006. We will be making further announcements when the service has resumed to normal.

TM Net Sdn Bhd apologizes for any inconvenience caused but at the same time we would like to assure you that what we are doing is necessary in order to restore the service as soon as possible.
