Transferring E-mails From Other E-mail Account To Horde E-mail Account

 

In Horde Groupware 5.2.6 , you are now able to transfer the E-mails from remote E-mail accounts.

Caution: If the remote E-mail account that you wish to transfer from is holding large size of E-mails or mailbox is large, we advise you do the transferring after office hour due to it will cause high load to the server.

 
1) First, you are required to create E-mail account in Linux server before proceed to the next step. 
 
2) Next, login Horde web mail via http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail
 
3) Next proceed to Preferences -> Mail
 
 
 
 
4) Under General -> Proceed to Remote Accounts
 
 
 
5) Next, select on Add Account 
 
 
 
 
6) You may then fill in the details of the remote email account that wish to be transferred
 
 
 
 
Email Address : Full email address of the account 
 
Password : Its associated password
 
Label : Could be any name or by default can set to the full email address of the account 
 
Use secure connection : May leave to Use if available or Required depending on the remote account setting
 
 
7) Then click on Next and once verified successfully click on Save to complete the transferring process
 
 
 
** You may also opt to "Show Advanced Setup" and fill in the details accordingly **
 
 
Label : Could be any name or by default can set to the full email address of the account 
 
Use secure connection : May leave to Use if available or Required depending on the remote account setting
 
Type : Could be either IMAP or POP3
 
Server : Incoming mail server details (eg mail.domainname.com)
 
Username : Full email address of the account 
 
Port : 110 for POP3 and 143 for IMAP (Non SSL) ,  995 for POP 3 and 993 for IMAP (SSL)
 
 
Finally click on  Save to complete the transferring process
